2004 Department of Homeland Security grant program awarded Northampton Fire & Rescue $24,462.00
for the purchase of much needed turn-out gear to replace our aging current proctective clothing and also a Thermal
Imaging camera to provide us with futher safety equipment. The camera will be used as a search and resuce tool
as well as an overhaul tool to search for hidden hot spots during fire suppression activities to eliminate recalls and save
property.
The turn-out gear is presently ordered and is scheduled for late Febuary.
